Polynucleotides (PN)
Subtle rejuvenation with biostimulation that improves skin texture, elasticity and hydration.
Rejuvenating treatment with polynucleotides is a modern approach that improves skin quality without changing your features. With fine intradermal injections we stimulate skin renewal, increase hydration and gradually improve texture and elasticity. The effect builds gradually, usually through a series of treatments.
What is polynucleotide treatment
Polynucleotides (PN or PDRN) are biostimulative molecules, purified DNA fragments that are applied to the skin with fine injections. The purpose of treatment is not to change facial features, but to gradually improve skin structure: better texture, elasticity, hydration and more rested appearance.
In practice, polynucleotides are often used for face, neck and décolleté, especially when we want natural results and focus on skin regeneration.
What you can expect
- visibly fresher and more even skin appearance,
- softer fine lines and improved elasticity,
- better hydration and skin radiance,
- support in skin renewal after stress (e.g., sun, smoking, stress),
- in selected cases also support for appearance of scars or irritated skin.
Who is the treatment suitable for
Most commonly suitable for adults who want to improve skin quality without adding volume and without changing facial expressions. It works well for tired, dehydrated or less firm skin and sensitive areas like eye area.
When treatment is not suitable
Treatment is usually discouraged or postponed in the following cases:
- pregnancy and breastfeeding,
- active infection or inflammation at application area,
- unmanaged chronic conditions or therapies requiring individual assessment,
- known hypersensitivity to preparation ingredients.
We always conduct a consultation before treatment, where we check skin condition, medical history and expectations.
How treatment proceeds
Consultation and plan
At examination we assess skin, goals and any limitations. We propose a realistic plan (number of visits, intervals, maintenance) and explain what treatment can and cannot achieve.
Application
Polynucleotides are most commonly applied with microinjections into skin. The treatment itself is relatively quick; tiny bumps, redness or mild swelling are possible, which usually resolve in 24 to 48 hours.
Treatment series and maintenance
For optimal effect, treatment is usually performed in series (e.g., 2 to 4 visits), at intervals of about 2 to 4 weeks. Then maintenance treatment is added at longer intervals as needed, depending on age, skin condition and lifestyle.
Possible side effects and recovery
Most common temporary effects after application are redness or sensitivity at injection sites, mild swelling for 1 to 2 days and occasional bruises. Serious complications are rare, and risk is reduced with appropriate preliminary assessment, sterile execution and clear post-treatment care instructions.
Combinations with other treatments
We often include polynucleotides in a broader plan to improve skin quality. Depending on skin needs, they can be sensibly combined with other approaches, such as gentle peels, microneedling, lasers or skin hydration. Key is proper time sequence and expert supervision.
Note: text is informative and does not replace individual consultation. Final decision on suitability and therapy plan are determined after clinical assessment.

Book a ConsultationFrequently Asked Questions
Is the treatment painful?
The feeling is usually mild. If needed we use local anesthetic cream to make the procedure more comfortable.
How many treatments do I need?
Most commonly 2 to 4 visits at intervals of about 2 to 4 weeks. We determine the exact plan at examination.
When will I see results?
Changes are gradual. First improvements are often noticed in weeks, and the full effect builds through the series.
What is the downtime?
Usually minimal: redness, tiny injection marks or mild swelling for 24 to 48 hours. Bruises are possible.
Does the treatment add volume like fillers?
No. The purpose is to improve skin quality, not add volume.
Is the treatment suitable for under-eye area?
Often a good choice for sensitive areas, but we assess suitability at consultation.
Who is not a suitable candidate?
Treatment is usually not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding and with active infections or inflammation at application site.
Can it be combined with other treatments?
Yes, often. Proper sequence and time intervals are important, which we determine based on the goal.
